Since May 1st, Reanne Wuijster started as Marketing Coordinator at VRI Tech Group. It's a versatile role where she handles the marketing for the entire group and the companies that are part of it. From recruitment marketing and SEO to social media, websites, and internal communication: no two days are the same. And it's precisely this variety that makes her work so enjoyable.
In this employee spotlight, Reanne talks about her first months, the culture within VRI Tech Group, and why, according to her, collaboration is the key to success.
When Reanne started on May 1st, one thing was central: discovering the needs within the group's various companies. By conducting interviews, visiting branches, and getting to know colleagues, she quickly gained a good understanding of the organization and its marketing challenges.
She now works daily on a variety of projects. She optimizes websites and online visibility, develops content for social media, supports recruitment campaigns, writes internal newsletters, and collaborates with external partners to further enhance the visibility of the various companies. Additionally, she regularly visits the branches of Integron, Munter, Wadcon, Habeload, VRI and DTS2 to gather stories and get to know the organizations better.
This versatility makes her work special.
"There's really too much to list. It's precisely that variety that makes it so enjoyable."
While many marketers focus on a single organization, Reanne works for six different technical companies within the same group. This requires adaptability, organization, and above all, a lot of collaboration. No two days are the same. One morning might involve interviewing colleagues on-site, while later that day she's working on SEO optimizations or recruitment marketing. In between, she consults with external marketing partners, contributes ideas for group positioning, or creates new website content.
It's precisely this combination of strategic and practical tasks that energizes her. She's given a lot of responsibility, but also the trust to shape her role herself.
"I'm given a lot of responsibility, but also a lot of freedom to organize my work in my own way. That trust feels very good."
One of Reanne's favorite parts of her job is the company visits. By regularly being present at the different locations, she not only gets to know her colleagues better but also gains a unique look behind the scenes. She visits places you wouldn't normally get to see. For example, she recently stood high up in the engine room of a theater, amidst the impressive technology that VRI Tech Group contributes to.
These experiences help her truly understand the stories behind the projects. This makes it easier to create authentic content that showcases what the companies within the group stand for.

Beyond the versatility of her tasks, the company culture immediately stood out to her. From her very first day, she felt welcome. Not because of grand gestures, but precisely because of the small things colleagues seem to take for granted. A great example of this was the coffee tray with all colleagues' names on it. It not only helped her get to know everyone quickly; her own name was already added during her first week.
"It might seem like a small thing, but it immediately made me feel like I belonged."
According to Reanne, it's precisely these kinds of moments that say a lot about the organization. Colleagues take time for each other, help where needed, and ensure that new employees quickly feel at home. What's more, she regularly works at different branches. This means she constantly meets new colleagues and sees how diverse the work within the group is.
Although Reanne has only recently joined VRI Tech Group, she is very enthusiastic about her personal development.
After her studies, she began her career in marketing and communication. She now realizes how much experience she has gained and how much she is still learning. Not so much through one specific project, but through all the different tasks that collectively make up her role. She builds new collaborations, contributes to the group's positioning, visits unique locations, and gets the opportunity to shape marketing at both strategic and operational levels.
For her, pride lies not in a single result, but in the growth she experiences as a professional.
Although Reanne herself has little direct client contact, communication plays an important role in her daily work. According to her, good collaboration always starts with listening. Whether it's colleagues, clients, or partners: understanding what someone needs and communicating clearly about it makes all the difference, she believes. Mistakes can always happen, she says. The most important thing is how you deal with them.
"We are all human. As long as you communicate well, are honest, and take things seriously, you'll get a long way together."
She also sees this open way of collaborating reflected within VRI Tech Group. For her, respect, trust, and the ability to be yourself form the foundation of a pleasant work environment.
When Reanne looks back on her first few months, one conclusion consistently emerges: the people make the difference. Of course, she finds the content of her work challenging. The variety, responsibility, and technical environment strongly appeal to her. But ultimately, it's primarily her colleagues and the atmosphere that ensure she enjoys coming to work every day.
"For me, it was important to join a company with a great team, an informal atmosphere, and a place where I could be myself. You can perform the role in many different places, but the team you end up in ultimately makes the difference. And I've truly found that here."
Outside of work, Reanne lives in Groningen with her four-year-old son, Lester. In her free time, she enjoys being active. When the weather is nice, she loves to get on her paddleboard on the Hoornsemeer, play the piano, or enjoy music. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, preferably over good food.
She finds this work-life balance important. It's precisely because of this that she can work with renewed energy every day to further enhance the visibility of VRI Tech Group and all companies within the group.
